Hello!
Back in the depths of the pandemic I hot-glued and sort of 3D printed a Raspberry Pi zero into my childhood GameBoy Color, this was only moments before The GameBoy Color surged in value, and original examples of the console now sell for quite a lot!
With RetroPie installed - and only the ROMs of games I own physical copies of - I played my "stealth GBC" an awful lot, the killer title for me was Columns from the Sega Game Gear.
You can see it here:
At this time i was also trying to make a 3D printed console and i got into making customer PCB's from the usual suspects in China (JLCPCB ftw).
As i got more and more PCBs made, and learned a lot about electronics I wondered If I could make a "drop-in" version of my GameBoy Color Mod.
With that, I decided to do a little marketing and wrap all my ideas up for a DIY Pi Zero GBC mod, I called it the SameBoy, and that went over very well on YouTube
After that Video also did well, with plenty of people saying its the kind of thing they would like to have, I went and did a Kickstarter!
It raised almost £30,000 and now I working on making the Reboi a real product.
